Can take up too much sink space (but doesn't have to).
I am delighted with this product. It is attractive, and keeps my sponges organized, even the detergent-wand sponges that never seemed to have a good place to store.
At 4" deep (front edge to wall, including the suction cups, but not including the optional L-bracket hanger), it took up between a quarter and a third of my sink's width. For me, that was not an acceptable option.
So, instead, I removed the L-bracket, and placed the unit behind the sink (still mostly over the stainless steel part of the sink), and suction-cupped it to the splash-guard on the wall. Now it is not only functional; it is also unobtrusive. Note that this placement does not permit one to extend the depth of the brush well. However, as you can see in my photos, that does not adversely impact my ability to store long-handled kitchen tools.
I have added customer images at the top of the product description page, showing both the in-sink mounting and the behind-sink mounting.
