Excellent fresh tasty nuts! *PRICE CHART/SAVINGS*
I ordered the "3 one pound bags" mixed nuts and it arrived as one 3 pound bag. I didn't mind. The nuts all tasted fresh though if you're eating them separately you'll notice some "flavor merging" (to be expected from mixed nuts). It contains Cashews, Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, and pecans. I just ordered this again, hopefully my 2nd batch will be similar to the 1st. :) *UPDATE* I got the 2nd batch in and it appears similar to the 1st. This time I decided to separate out all of the nuts and weigh them to see the exact ratios. Here's how it all works out: Cashews: 16.4 oz (464g) - 34.2% Almonds: 14.9oz (423g) - 31.2% Hazelnuts: 4.6oz (131g) - 9.7% Macadamia: 4.05oz (115g) - 8.5% Pecans: 3.95oz (112g) - 8.3% Brazil nuts: 3.75oz (106g) - 7.8% Very small pieces/dust: .2oz (6g) .4% My total weight was 47.9oz (1357g) That's a tad short of 3 pounds but pretty close. Cashews are 50% whole 50% halves/pieces (mostly halves) Almonds, brazil and hazel nuts are almost exclusively whole Macadamia nuts are mostly whole with some halves/pieces. Pecans are almost completely pieces with very few whole halves. Based on prices of individual raw nut types on Amazon (Prime sellers) this is how the ratio boils down Cashews $11/lb - 16.4oz = $11.28 Almonds $12/lb - 14.9oz = $11.18 Hazelnuts $14/lb - 4.6oz = $4.03 Macadamia $16/lb - 4.05oz = $4.05 Brazil nuts $12/lb - 3.75oz = $2.81 Total cost: $33.35 Whatever price is listed, use this to see if it's a good deal or not. (prices of nuts may change drastically over time) *NOTE* I purchased both of my bags of mixed nuts from the Amazon Prime seller E+ You experience should be similar to mine through this seller. I cannot say anything about others so keep that in mind.
