This is an awesome fountain! We’ve had two plastic ones in the past. One leaked and the other seemed difficult to keep clean. I finally gave up and. To just a bowl of water, but, I noticed my cats were not urinating very much. So I did some research on Amazon and settled on this one. It looks like a decorative fountain you would buy to decorate your home. It is very sturdy, works perfectly and is amazing easy to clean. Best of all, ony cat love it and are frequently seeninking from it. There was no acclimation process for them, they started drinking from it immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend it or purchase it again.
