I was torn about whether or not to purchase this product because of all the differing reviews. So torn in fact, that I purchased both the 700 model and 730 model. This review is for customers like me who can't decide which model to purchase. The cell phone that was used is a HTC Droid Incredible II. Personally, I prefer the look of the 700 model. It is straight white, not pearled like the 730. I prefer simple white. As far as comfort--both models are the same. Both are relatively comfortable, except when jumping around. The device bounces around on your collarbone which is annoying--but this is only if you're jumping with reckless abandonment like I was :)Otherwise their is only minute movement, nothing too troublesome or uncomfortable. I heard negative reviews on the way the ear buds fit to the device. They said the magnets were a joke. I've found that the magnets work just fine--assuming you place them properly in the device. Otherwise they will fall out, but that's user error. I purchased these devices for working out in the gym mainly. I did my best using both devices to jump up and down, bend over, jog, etc. Both devices ear buds stayed in place just fine. There was no breaking up with sound in either device when the phones were next to me, or near my person. This includes in pockets, under my shirt, behind me,on my arm, etc. I even swung the phone around me, and there was no sound disturbances for either device. Now, when it came to the phone being separate from my person. Both devices had comparable range. However, it seemed the 700 model was slightly superior, but only by a few feet. I'd say the range I managed was 30+ feet for both devices, and this was in my house, with my cell phone on the charger in my bedroom at the far end of the house. Both devices started to break up to the point of no sound when I reached the kitchen on the other end of the house (1700 sqft house). The 730 model started going choppy at around the 25 ft range. The 700 model seems to stay consistently clear up until no signal, and then cuts off. The 700 model is also superior when it comes to reconnecting. With the 700 model you can go in and out of range, and it reconnects fluidly. This is my only real complaint with the 730 model. Once it completely disconnects, you are forced to walk all the way back to the cell phone for it to reconnect. For someone who wasn't carrying their phone on their person, I could see where this could be annoying. Now for sound quality. The 730 is far superior to the 700 model. The 700 model is decent, but sounds flat--noticeably so. I went from listening to the 730 model to the 700 model, and it literally sounded like there was a damper on the music. The same was true for voices on calls. The 730 model came in rich and clear--with a dynamic range in sounds. I'm not super picky when it comes to speaker sound, but I'm pretty impressed by the 730 model. The 700 model is about what you'd expect from simple speakers. As far as calls--on both devices no one asked if they were on speaker phone, or complained about sounding strange. Ways the 730 model differs from the 700 model. The 730 model speaks to you (along with vibration)--telling you if you're out of range, connected, and the battery power level. This to me isn't important, and can be a little annoying if your device keeps disconnecting and connecting--which won't be a problem if your phone is on your person. It is nice knowing the battery level though. The 700 model conveys the same things with beeps and no vibration. Far less annoying, but doesn't tell you of battery power level. In summary: The 700 model is quite a good device if you are not concerned with the quality of sound. If you plan on being away from your phone on a regular basis, and are predominately using this device for work calls--this is probably the device for you. It is also a good device if you plan on just listening to audio books (like myself), or you don't mind your music sounding dampened. The 730 model is great for sound, and for the user that has their phone continually on their person. As long as your phone is with you--it has all the pros and none of the cons of the 700. As far as reliability--I've only had these devices for 24 hours. I haven't run into any problems yet--like a lot of the reviews are speaking of. I will update my review if I notice any faults in either device. July 27th 2013 Update: I still enjoy this device, though have experienced the cutting in and out as some other posts have talked about. Every once and a while the device will disconnect, and sometimes my phone will just turn off the bluetooth setting. Not sure if that's because of the headphones or because of my phone. Also, one day the device refused to turn on. I called customer support, and apparently the switch had broke. I sent it back and they gave me a new device, which was nice, but I don't think I should have had to pay to ship it there--considering the device had malfunctioned. Above all, however, I would still recommend this device. The perks outweigh the problems.
