Don't forget the build and release times
8 years later it still gets a lot of use. Easy to use and a good size for family of 4. If this is your first pressure cooker just realize when planning your meals that the "cooking time" in recipes is only the time from when the unit reaches pressure until the unit automatically switches to "warm". Not included is the time for the unit to build pressure (10 to 30 minutes depending on the quantity being cooked and if any of the content starts as frozen) and the time for pressure to subside before you can open the top. This can be 1 minute for recipes that call for a "quick release" - to another 20-30 minutes for recipes that call for a "natural" release (you wait for the pressure to subside with the unit "off").
