Not only are the plastic cones you get at your vets office just as expensive as this, they don't come near the quality of features and comfort as this cone. My German Shepherd had to wear a cone for about a week. I bought this on Amazon after I saw that he was absolutely miserable with the plastic one from the vet. Some huge differences I noticed is this actually attaches do your dogs collar and is far more secure and comfortable around their neck. Also, if your dog bumps into something, and they will, the material will give a bit and cushion the inevitable crash into the wall or kitchen table. The material is well made and has sufficient padding, it is also very easy to give a gentle rinse and wiping down. I'd highly recommend this to any pet owner. For size reference, this Xlarge cone fits well on both of my German Shepherds. One is just a few pounds shy of 100, while the other is 108 and medium haired. Thanks for reading.
