I really like this AIO machine, but I did have a BEAR of a time getting the scanner to work with my iMac on OS 10.13.6, High Sierra. I could find *nothing* on Brothers' help/troubleshooting pages to solve this issue, and an email to tech support was no help. (Which is why they get only 1 star...) What finally fixed it for me was stumbling upon a Mac forum where people were complaining about scanning problems with various AIOs and one person discovered that it would never work without turning OFF the default "ON" setting for IPv6 protocol under Wifi/TCP/IP. (Finding that setting was another adventure, but I finally did... all-in-all, it took me close to 2 hours to get the scanner working.) Setting up the wireless connection and the printer was a snap and that all worked instantly... it was just the scanning that caused my headaches. Now that it's all up and running, I'm very pleased. I URGE Brother to include this piece of info, with clear instructions on how to access the setting through the scanner's touchscreen, in their scanner troubleshooting section. That would have saved me a LOT of time and frustration!
