First off, I am naturally very pale. I always have to go with the lightest foundation shade (NW13 in MAC, for reference.) after using this tanner, I got A LOT of compliments on how tan I looked, and I have to agree- this tanner makes me look much healthier and less... like a corpse. I was worried about it not being noticeable enough or being too fake-looking or being hard to apply, so if you're on the fence, here are the things you should know: 1. The undertone of this tan is warm. Not orange, but it's definitely a yellow-based brown. If you have pink undertones, like me, you're going to need to adjust your makeup accordingly (I've found that buying a neutral or warm foundation a few shades darker and mixing with your normal foundation works pretty well.) again, if you're not used to having warm undertones, you might need to choose new bronzer/blush etc that will compliment your new skintone. If you already have warm undertones, you're golden (literally.) 2. This is fairly easy to apply. I had never in my life used self tanner before and with the mitt, I didn't have too many problems. However, the prep you do will make a huge difference. Like a lot of reviewers have mentioned, you need to exfoliate thoroughly and moisturize really well prior to application or you will have streaks. I skipped the prep work a few times and... yeah, you could tell 3. This will give you a noticeable tan. You can build it up by doing it a few days in a row. I've been doing it about twice a week just to keep it even, and as a very pale girl, this seems to work for me. However, Someone wanting a deeper glow may want to build it up. Also, I don't know if you're super cheap like I am, but I got concerned when I read that it only lasts a few days and you have to reapply it regularly. I was worried it would run out quickly. But after doing this maybe 5 times already, I still seem to have a lot of product left and already I feel like I got my money's worth. I can't tell you how many people have commented on how natural it looks and how much better I look. It really makes me wonder how bad I looked before...
