These masks seem to be great quality and I like that they are black. They are a little thicker and stiffer feeling than regular surgical masks in my opinion but otherwise pretty much the same. To test the effectiveness I did the candle blow test where I tried to blow out a candle wearing the mask. Flame was not affected at all so it passed that test. I also cut it one half to test the filters so I was able to see that the masks are three ply as advertised. The filters melt upon burning which is supposed to mean they are effective at filtering water droplets as cloth would end up absorbing them. All in all they seem to be high quality as advertised and I would recommend them.
