I was at my witts end trying to figure out what to do about my algae problem. My 250 gal pond was so green it was almost black, and I couldn't see my goldfish unless the were all the way to the very top feeding. I tried the liquid algeacides to no avail. I figured at the price, I'd give these barley bales a shot. The package says it may take up to a month to work, and it took between two and three weeks before I saw any change. I was beginning to think they were bogus. Then we began to see a slight clearing of the water, then on a daily basis it got clearer and clearer. During that one week it had completely cleared up. I am very, very pleased with the results. Just do what the package says, be patient and be amazed. The 4th picture posted 7-6-15 is my latest pic and the pond is now 3 years old.
