I have more than one APC ES-550. There's no way I want my TV and associated electronics or computer system powering down abruptly. A few times the power has gone out for just a few seconds or so and then returned. The APC backup system has handled that, and the electronics felt no pain. I ordered these ExpertPower EXP1290s as replacements for two of my units which had given me warning signals a few times, beeping while still providing power. I knew that they wouldn't last long with a real power outage. These batteries fit perfectly as replacements. It's only been three months, and I will update if they don't do as well as the originals.
