The air in my room was dry and uncomfortable at times. It was getting harder to sleep. I purchased this humidifier added a little lavender and vanilla to it and I slept so soundly. It runs very quietly you never know it's there. I may have to get another done my son has discovered that not only does it make the air moist it smells wonderfully he keeps taking it. I love it.l!!!
