I got this little kit for my crown-tail betta Zurich. I think it's a fantastic little tank if you stock it correctly and know how to work with nano systems. Granted for most if not all suitable fish you will need a heater, as the tank design causes anything on the rear wall to be magnified I opted for a small 7.5 watt under gravel heater, it works like a charm and my fish stays nice and happy. Hydor MINI HEATER Aquarium Heater 7.5 Watts for Tanks 2-5 gal I use this tank for a planted set up and could only be happier if it came with a small internal filter rather then the UGF, but whatcha gonna do? It's not a big deal to me since I'm familiar with them from previous years of fish keeping. I've posted a picture with more information on my setup in the photo section as well. It's been running for 3 weeks and so far I have not had any issues with bacterial blooms (cloudy water) or regular cleaning and water changes.
