Wonderful Stroller
D is living in Manhattan with two cats she rescued from under a dumpster last summer. Since living with her, they have been living on the 20th floor of an apartment building and have become true indoor cats though recently my daughter has been doing very small ventures with the cats outside on harnesses and leashes. I purchased this stroller in preparation for the cats to come stay with my husband and I for two weeks in the Massachusetts suburbs. This stroller is WONDERFUL. I debated and debated whether this was a dumb idea and would I have just wasted my money. Over the two weeks, the cats truly seemed to enjoy our walks outside while keeping them in a protected environment. At the time, the cats were weighing 13.5 and 11 lb and still growing. There was plenty of room for the both of them. They would ride front and back, side by side, or the larger male in front with the female riding behind but balancing on the frame bars so she could see out the front over her brother. The No-zip feature is a definite must for me (another point I had debated). Trying to put two cats into a stroller by myself would have been hard to do had I needed to deal with a zippered front. There has been discussion about whether there is a rear access. Answers have varied. Mine absolutely does have a rear access. There is a rear mesh window, but also and access zipper that goes around the edges where a seam would be. It is almost invisible. Hence the reason I believe the answers are inconsistent. I doubt that there are multiple models - with and without the back entrance. The wheels are great. The sidewalks in the entire are neighborhood are badly heaved due to trees planted between the road and sidewalk 25 years ago. There are bad enough that just walking or running could trip a person. These wheels dealt with them very smoothly. I love the mesh across the canopy top that allows me to view a significant portion of the interior while walking. The mesh itself appears quite durable. The male cat, she resisted the stroller the first few times, was unable to do any damage to the fabric or mesh. I used the cup holder for a water bottle and my iPhone. I think that is about it. If you are thinking about a pet stroller, I would not hesitate to recommend this model. If I could figure out how to add a video I would. I have numerous great clips of the cats in the stroller.
