These are in fact the worlds best gummy bears! I know this because I have been out of the country a few times, mostly Europe, but I always buy gummies when I travel. The thing is, they are just the right amount of sweet and sour. They are a perfect balance. Seriously. Balance. And the real point of writing this review is to stress the balance. If you are one of those people who eat the gummies one at a time, ( just grabbing the next one and eating it) then you just keep doing you. I mean, you will never experience the “balance” of flavors, but apparently that’s not important to you. If you are one of those people who pick out certain colors of gummy, only to leave other colors abandoned at the bottom of the candy dish, well I just pity you. And anyone you share the candy dish with. But if you know that the appropriate way to consume gummy bears, is to grab a small fistful, and crane at least 5 bears at a time into your mouth, then you will truly appreciate the Albanese gummy bears. Especially a 5 lb bag. Each mouthful is a burst of gummy flavor. Sweet, chewy yet soft, and never exactly the same. My mouth starts to water in anticipation. I just can’t seem to stop eating them. I need to carefully ration them. I put them in 1 pint containers that come with takeout food. I leave one container near my desk or in my kitchen, and stash the rest of the bag away. That way, I never eat too many at a time. A pint is a lot. I never finish a pint in one sitting. But I gauge my binge by the emptiness of the container. I probably shouldn’t even buy them. But I just can’t stop. So if you eat them one at a time, you are missing out on the awesomeness of these gummy bears. And if you avoid certain flavors, then you are shameful. And if you are a vegetarian, then I’m sad for you, because these gummy bears contain gelatin from pigs. But if you are a meat eater who throws back gummy bears by the fistful, then these are the gummy bears for you! Order up a 5lb bag. And enjoy.
