In full disclosure I did not purchase this item from Amazon since my new apartment is not currently taking deliveries. So I just drove to the local Best Buy and got one there. Anyways to the review and description of my situation. June 4, 2016 I have just moved to an Apartment complex in Houston (Over population at its finest.). At first glance I though some phone line plugs in the wall were actually Internet wiring done through the apartment but sadly since I did not look at it long enough until setting my setup I had the displeasure to find out that was not the case. So now I had to figure out how to get internet to my setup without running a long wire through our new apartment without the wife killing me for destroying the aesthetics of the place. Option one would be to go full wireless but I am a hardcore gamer and since there are about two dozen WiFi in range that would not work. Signal interference would have been the death of me. So second option would be to try one of these and hope that the wiring in the apartment was up to par because if that is not the case this things are actually useless from hat I hear. So setup was pretty simple. I plugged in one coming out of the router... waited for some lights. Plugged in the other by my computer waited for all the lights to properly display and then held the little button to make it a secure connection between the two and that was it. Its been two days of constant use now and so far not a single problem. We are paying for 75 down from Comcast here but we get about 90 down directly from the modem because I am using my own modem utilizing all the 24 bonded channels that are available here. To my surprise I get the full 90 down at my computer using this device. Have played a few games and lag is non existent. As long as it continues to perform as it is right now I will be very happy with my purchase. I am pretty good at updating reviews if anything happens so if that is the case I will then return here to update the review.
