I was actually surprised by how much I like this 3d Pen. I have been in technology for over 25 years and the last 5 years have been focused on 3d technology. I usually use 3d printers so it was a bit of a learning curve when I started using 3d pens. I have purchased pens from $30 up to $200. This pen is a good mid-range pen that delivers quality, comfort, durability, and incredibly easy to use. It has a really nice slope design which I like because my hand tires easily after using the pens for a while. They tend to twist & turn throughout the use. This one stays easily put in position in my hand which is nice because the buttons are easy to reach on both sides with this design. The filament selection type, ABS or PLA, is clearly displayed on the LCD screen & is selected by simply pushing the disburse button then set the temp to the proper degree and within seconds you are printing. I like that once you hit the dispense filament button, it continuously dispenses until I tap the button again to stop the flow. Another nice feature is, instead of using a slide to select the amount of filament being dispensed, this pen uses buttons. One simple tap and I can control whether I want a thick or thin line of filament dispensed. Another feature is the sleep mode. The pen will emit a tone letting you know it is entering sleep mode. I like this feature because while I am tidying up my project by cutting off loose ends or smoothing out rough edges, the pen is not burning & dispensing filament (which has happened with another type pen). To change filament color, just hold the reverse button for 5 seconds. The pen will continue to reverse out the filament. I cant tell you how much I LOVE that option. Most pens I will accidentally hit the reverse feed and instead of continuing my project, I have to stop wait for it to dispense then refill with the same color all because I tapped the wrong button. This pen has eliminated that frustration for me and that alone makes it worth every penny, lol This is not a professional pen but it does do a nice job dispensing the filament which, with a little time & patience learning to use this pen properly, you can create a lot of fun & useful & beautiful projects. During this time of lockdowns and lock-ins, its nice to have fun things to do with your time. This is something I enjoy doing with my grandchildren. 3d printer pens are a lot of fun and this pen is packed with lots of entertainment. It comes with 3 PLA filaments - not enough to really create anything but just enough to let you test out various temps and dispenser feed. You also get a ready to use template to create other 3d projects. I found the templates to be very useful when I first started to use the pen. So, bottom line is - if you are looking for a really nice, mid-range 3d pen that will help you be all you can be creative wise but not break your budget - I recommend this pen. You can go cheaper but then you get what you pay for. I want to add that initially I had questions about the use of the pen after my purchase. I emailed the seller regarding my questions and they responded immediately, resolved my issue and also gave me some pointers on the use of this pen. So, Good Price + Great customer Service + Quality 3d pen make this a win for anyone that gets this device. This will make a great stocking stuffer for anyone.
