This is an important revision to my original review -- read it below if you are interested. Wrap it in a bath towel when you use it and you can keep it in the freezer until you need it. The company actually reads your reviews and responds to your concerns. I mentioned that I did not get the belt which goes with the pad and they sent me a new pad AND belt! Haven't used the belt yet (arrived yesterday) but from the excellent design and workmanship I am sure that it will work well. I'll keep it in the freezer with the pad(s). Thank you Coldest! You are a great company and sell a great product! I only use it on my back so I can only presume it's versatility on other parts of the body. More importantly, you can't just stick it in the freezer and use it when you need it or want it --it gets too cold!! When the directions say put in the freezer for two hours before you use it they were serious! You have to schedule a time to use it and put it in the freezer two hours ahead of time. That cuts down on it's usability. But when you remember to do that it feels great. It was supposed to come with a strap. It was not in the box so I can't tell you how that works.
