I bought one of these 3 years ago and it's been used a few dozen times. It looks lovely, and works very well at aerating a large surface area in a manageable footprint. Today I was cleaning it and lightly bumped its mouth against my granite countertop as I was taking it out and a shard flew off. it still works, but disappointed in myself for not taking an extra second to lift it clear of the granite, and came straight here to buy another one. The only con really is it's so dificult to thoroughly clean. It's like cleaning a deep wine glass but you can never get to all of the bowl area. if you don't mind a bunch of water spots (I don't, since you can't see them while it's in use anyways) then it's ok, but would be even better if there was some sort of cleaning kit included with the decanter.
