More strapless cleavage than I ever thought possible...
I am a plus size girl (women's size 24/26), who wears a large cup size (DDD/E). Any attempt I've made in the past to go strapless was a nightmare, and I haven't attempted for about 10 years (I'm now in my 30s). I'm getting married and was in love with several strapless dresses. Ordinarily if I get a strapless dress I wear a bolero type jacket to cover the straps of a bra. But I was posting in a private forum I belong to for fat positive women for advice and someone suggested I check out Goddess bras, and specifically those with boning in the cups. I ordered this one (without trying it on) because of the free return and inexpensive price, figuring if it failed (like I anticipated it would) I wouldn't be out much (and possibly not anything at all). When the bra arrived I needed a little help initially getting into it, but once my FH hooked it up, I was AMAZED! I even jumped up and down, and ran around the apartment to see if it would fail under pressure, and it continued to support me. I wore it the rest of the evening to see if it would grow to be uncomfortable after an hour or so, and it didn't. It was even more comfortable than most of the other strapped bras I had. I wore it the next day under a spaghetti strapped blouse (without my usual short jacket around the shoulders), and by midday I was convinced I'd found an amazing bra. I ordered the strapless wedding gown of my dreams that night :) Some key things to point out: This does give you a bit of my my FH and I have dubbed "50s boobs". They point out in a pin-up model-esque sort of way. I imagine even smaller chested women will find that they have some umfph to their bust line. I personally like the way this looks, but I can see how some might not. I generally wear a 42DDD or 42E (depending on cut). Based on reading the other reviews, I ordered a 46DD and it fit perfectly. The cup size is generous, so I'd recommend ordering a size down, not up, if you're a 3digit size. I'd also recommend ordering a larger band size, especially if you are pear shaped (like me). Another note for us pear ladies, the boning in the structure itself does provide some shaping. However, if you carry weight below your midsection, this can exacerbate it, pushing it down and making it protrude out. I've found that shaping undies or a waist cincher helps to smooth this and increases the overall comfort in general. In all, I highly recommend this product, even to (especially to) women skeptical of strapless comfort.
