War of the Orcs is an epic fantasy story by author Brent Reilly. In a world created in the Tolkien tradition, this story has elves, dwarves, giants, orcs, and many more mythical and legendary creatures. The story is set during a war between the orcs and humans. Angry because the humans have built boundaries that make hunting harder, the orcs have banded together to exterminate the human race. The threat of danger to the humans is overwhelming but a single hero might just have the strength to save them all, a young princess with a great deal of determination. “She’s just a little girl!” her mother objected. That pissed off the 8-year old: “No, mama. I am not just a little girl. I’m as good as any boy and I’ll be better than most men.” This story is a great read, particularly for young readers. The grand adventure is written in an exciting and hilarious way that makes for an excellent read. I particularly enjoyed seeing a young female hero in an epic fantasy story. I would definitely recommend this book.
