I purchased this bed for my 14 year old 85lb pit bull with arthritis. I replace the last bed I purchased that advertised being excellent for arthritis an it wasn't. Pro: It is sturdy and cushiony at the same time. The memory foam is great and my pup feels confident walking on it. My pups last bed was one of those indoor-outdoor hammock beds that said they were good for old dogs but mine wouldn't go near it. He is too wobbly to feel confident walking and off of the old bed. The memory foam is the really nice thick kind. It's not egg crate nor torn up pieces inside a bag. You can wash it. With an old slobbery pup his bed needs washing often CONS The fabric is thin. Very thin. I notice it as soon as I took it out of the box. I had to spot clean it due to blood from a rubbed off scab on my dogs elbow and the grey dye came right off on the white towel I used. My dog is not a digger but with the amount of washing I will be doing I know it's not going to last.
