This may be the only review I have ever filled out, but I have to spread this message. My 86 yr old Mom (lives independently and very self sufficient) was sick a few weeks ago, with vague symptoms at first, but then I began to suspect Covid-19. I had JUST purchased this for myself but started using it to check my Mom because as a nurse, I knew that a change in saturation/heart rate would be a sign of her condition worsening. She was sick 5 days and I checked it each day and her saturation was 95-97% when she was still feeling very ill the first 4 days, but the 5th day, when she looked GREAT and was recovering, her saturation had dropped to 88%. I took her to the emergency room and the emergency room physician informed us that she was Covid + and said I wish everyone would know when to bring their loved ones in, they are waiting too long. In my Mom's case, she did NOT want to go to the ER but I knew she had to go because her saturation went from 95% to 88% in one day, the very day she looked better and felt better. She was in the hospital 9 days and I'm thankful to say she is a covid survivor, and is home safe and sound and back to baseline. So I would say to you without a doubt this saved my Mom's life. As a nurse my instincts kicked in to check the saturation even though she looked better, but I will tell you as a daughter I almost walked away feeling good that she was better and recovering.
