This is a great replacement for crappy, wooden slats. It has been very sturdy, no more collapsing through the frame when more than one person lays on my son's bed which happened ALL THE TIME! It was so easy to put together that my 8 year old helped me do it. The slats aren't super close together, but they aren't too far apart either. It's all steel, but lightweight. This is definitely what I will purchase for any bed frame that comes with wooden slats in the future!
