This was very easy to assemble. It is not a cheap flimsy vacuum. I have used it about 10 times to clean my Breckwell P23i Pellet Stove insert. It has great suction and doesn't clog like some reviews of higher priced vacuums reported. My opinion is that if you have a couple of hundred bucks to blow then, go with the $350.00 - $500.00 models. If you refuse to pay that for a vacuum and want a great ash vacuum that does the job, buy this one. Updated review: I received this Vac in April 2012. Paid about 100 for it. I am happy to report that this Vac is still going strong. I clean my Pellet Stove Ash with it and burn about 4 Ton of Pellets ever Winter. Just came in to buy my first new Filter. I am sorry to see that some people had no luck with it. But it is still a 5 Star item to me.
