Changed my bottle water (aquafina& great value aka Walmart water) pH lvl to alkaline around a 9 I ideally filter around 3-4 bottles. now with that being said your water will return to neutral after 2-8 hrs depending how you store it. alkaline water will not stay in that state forever, but a neutral 7 is better than the 5&6 pH lvls before the filter. Now if you want a 9 everytime just filter what you want to drink takes around 2-3 min to get enough for a glass great product
