After 2 months use - I think it is great!
I deliberately held off on a review to see some results first which I can write about. So it has been about 2.5 months of use and my overall conclusion - it is great, absolutely worth the money. A bit of preview: I have a fairly light but not too pale skin (light brown or medium fair) and black hair. And I have a LOT of it both on my head and on my body (Greek ancestry, thank you very much!) I used to use a combination of electric epilator on legs & armpits and a razor (bikini area) and it worked I guess, but it was not ideal by any means. Then I needed to buy a new epilator and thought why not to add a little bit extra and try one of these at home IPL machines instead. The price on this one looked very pretty (1.5-2 times less than similar devices and only about 30$ more than an electric epilator) So I got it. How I used it: I've been using it about once a week on my armpits, about once every 2 weeks on my full legs all this time, and only recently started trying it on my outer bikini area. I shave on the same day beforehand just as instructions advise and I use it on level 5 every time. Pain: Honestly, it is not painful at all for me. It can feel hot at times but I wouldn't call it painful. But maybe it is just me transitioning after a long use of an electric epilator (aka a torture device) :) Results: I think that realistic expectations are a key here. I did my research and knew in the beginning that it will NOT be a quick complete and permanent hair removal solution (nor does it promise to be) But with that said, I see a great reduction in hair, it grows much more slowly and there are patches of hair not growing back at all. There is barely 1/5 of hair growing back in the underarm area and 1/3 on the legs. I also haven't had any ingrowns or irritation on any area. Conclusion: I think it is a great device. It is not painful (not even remotely as epilator). It is not expansive (a price of 2 wax sessions). And it does greatly reduce body hair (eliminating it entirely on some areas). It slows the hair growth considerably. I am happy and curious to keep using it and see what the more permanent long term results will be.
