Glad I tried it
I have 3 bad discs in my lower back causing me ongoing pain from the lower back all the way down to the back of my heel. I have been taking pain medication for 5 years and last year reluctantly agreed to have an epidural injection. My job requires bending moderate lifting and lots of sitting. Right before a two week training trip for work, twisted my back and couldn't move. A trip to the Emergency Room resulted in prescriptions of a major muscle relaxant and yet more pain pills. More upsetting, it resulted in the scheduling of another epidural injection the week after I was scheduled to return from training. (Complete with a $200 co-pay) I had seen the Dr. Ho belt on infomercials before and always dismissed it. I check out numerous online reviews and after realizing that most of the negative reviews were indeed from those who never tried the belt decided there was nothing to lose so I ordered one to arrive at the hotel where my training was held. After a 10 hour drive to my training location, I was in no shape to have training, but sure enough my Ho Belt was at the front desk waiting for me. I got to my room, put the belt on and laid down as I could barely stand. Following the directions, I used the belt for 3- 30 minute sessions the remainder of that first day. I put it on in the morning of the second day and after about 30 seconds of discomfort, my pain was cut in half! I was able to get through my morning classes with virtually no additional pain. This was particularly true since I cut my pain medication in half so that my mind would be clear enough to remember my classes. By the 4th day, I was wearing the belt for the full 9 hours I was in class and doing so with only 2 pain pills in the morning. (Down from 2 pills every 4 hours) Today, 2 months later, I wear the belt roughly 6 days a week, and I don't take any pain medication. Incidentally, I was able to cancel that epidural injection and keep the $200 bucks for the copay which more than covered the cost of the belt. I am actually ordering a 2nd belt today so that I can keep one at the job just in case.
