We bought this one after much research at Amazon. We bought it to replace the hand held one that we had after working it to death. It was a different brand than this one. We needed it in a BIG hurry as we have been in bed bug annihilation mode and had it shipped 2nd day! We picked up BED BUGS from a local retailer that you all have heard of. They came home with me in a two pack of bed pillows in an UNSEALED plastic bag. This machine is a real workhorse!!! Have been busy vacuuming and steaming the bed and couches repeatedly while preparing our house for extermination treatments. We needed to use a blade-type of attachment and it came with one that is blade-like but has squeegees attached. I discussed it with my clever hubby, and since it has a couple of screw holes in it the squeegee blades were removed and can be replaced for later use. This thing really works well. I have been steaming inside of my kitchen cabinets too just to pretreat in the problem spots where we saw the bed bugs and I noticed that I started seeing silverfish dropping like flies out of the cracks! We have had a major silverfish problem in our house which the exterminators can eradicate too, but it's nice to know you can kill the little suckers in cracks everywhere in your house without using chemicals!!! AWESOME STEAMER!!! If you have problems trying to use it because of too much water coming out of it do this: Fill it with the distilled water, plug it in and turn it on. Let it heat up for a good 15 minutes. It holds 1500 ml of water and takes awhile to heat up. You can feel the water boiling inside of the machine. Take a bucket with you as you prepare to use it or hold the nozzle over a sink. Depress the steam button and hold it down for around 10-15 seconds. It will spit and sputter a lot as the water from the prior use is purged. You will then have a steady steam of steam to work with. YOU HAVE TO PURGE IT EACH TIME PRIOR TO USING IT!!! I had to figure this out the hard way.
