I’m pretty happy with this purchase. We have lots of outside/stray cats in my little neighborhood, and they took a liking to the flower beds at the entrance to my house. Thanks to the Yard Enforcer it no longer smells like a nasty dirty cat litter box when I enter my house. No more little kitty nugget piles amongst the mulch. I can usually tell there was some action by the mulch chips kicked up by kitty’s speedy exit, and I can confirm the action by reviewing my Ring doorbell footage. There was a lot of action at first, but it has slowed down as they have learned about the naughty sprinkler. Occasionally a previous victim will suffer the wrath of Orbit again but they are few and far between. I included a video with some of the action, check it out. The motion detection seems to work fine, the area I’m covering is not that large so I can’t speak for how well it detects at distance. It seems pretty stable although it is a little top heavy, a little less top heavy if you optionally mount the motion detector at the base rather than the top (it took a minute to figure that part out). This thing is a little chunky and ugly but it does do the trick, at least for me. BTW, a couple of these cats are pretty good buddies of mine, rubbing up on me and getting their daily head rubs, but I draw the line on the cat litter box entryway thing...nasty.
