I recently purchased a charger sync cable from another supplier that was advertised as being compatible with the new iPad 3. But it wouldn't charge when plugged into the outlet. Bought and received this cable with quick shipping. I can confirm it works and charges the battery properly with the new iPad. Cable is a bit thicker than the original Apple cable, but the connectors seem solid and easy to insert in the iPad port. And the price for this 10 ft cable can't be beat! Update - after almost 5 months of use, the cable is still working fine, charging properly and the cable connectors at each end are still strong. Very durable.
