Great to watch my Disney+ movies
Setting up: I am not very technologically savvy so if I can set it up then probably can too. Remember the projector needs to be plugged in. :P The remote does not come with AAA batteries but you don’t really even need the remote except to adjust volume, the buttons on the projector work to set it up.
For iPhone/iPad(with the lightning HDMI cord, purchase separately)/Amazon fire stick (no additional cords needed) here’s how to set up:
On the first page, select “source” in purple. You’ll which box is selected because the corners turn round. The next page, select HDMI in purple. If all your devices are on and plugged in, it should take you to your screen page (iPhone) or your amazon home page (fire stick).
Using with Fire stick: It is very easy to use with an amazon fire stick. With the amazon fire stick, this projector can play Netflix, Disney +, amazon, Hulu, etc. It works with the projector just like a tv.
iPhone/iPad: you MUST get the lightning hdmi converter cord to connect to the iPhone. It is not included. You must also make sure the lightning/HDMI Converter is PLUGGED INTO A POWER SOURCE or it will not work. Your iPhone/iPad does NOT support Netflix or Disney+ or any of your streaming apps (it DOES support Twitch though). For me, the audio plays but the visual is blank. I’ve been told by my tech friends that it is because of encryptions on the apps. It’s still good for watching things on YouTube.
Bottom line: If you want to use this to watch Netflix, add a fire stick to your cart, it’s only about $30 USD. If you want to watch movies outside, an extension cord for your projector (and the fire stick) should work.
