Poor Battery Voltage? Read this first.
This is Mike the user of the Duracell hearing aid batteries. In case your an electronics guy like me, and you want check out the voltage of the batteries to see if a box of 60 (as I buy them) can possibly hold good voltage through #59 and #60; here is an IMPORTANT piece of information that you won't find on the box, or the plastic snap pack. The batteries come with a glue tab on each one. Besides making them easy to lift and handle they cover a very small hole that lets air in to activate the chemical that makes the charge. I have the small meter that Amazon sells specifically for testing hearing aid batteries (well worth the $6.xx). If you test the batteries with the tab still in place they will show very poor voltage, causing you to jump to the obvious conclusion "Those #%$&^ sent me a box of dead batteries". WRONG!! Remove the tab, wait a minute and re-test. Voila, full voltage. Thanks to "Hear Tech" for the enlightenment. Mlimuti
