I've had other food sealers and this one is among the best. My latest was the Waring Pro PVS1000 Vacuum Sealer Systemand it works great but the bags for that gadget are getting insanely expensive. I thought I'd take a chance on this one. I think a great test for any sealing system is the empty soda can test. This thing literally CRUSHED it. Including a picture of two cans that I completely crushed with this unit. It's sealing capacity and ease of use are really far beyond what I expected for a (relatively) inexpensive food sealer. I really appreciate them including the attachment hose to use on wine bottles and more importantly mason jars. I already have the mason jar attachment and routinely use that to vacuum seal stews, soups, etc... put the liquid in very hot, vacuum seal them and they literally last for weeks in the fridge. Make sure you leave an inch at the top of the mason jar, once you start vacuum sealing the jar the very hot mixture returns to a boil and can make a mess of things if the jar is too full. My fingers are crossed that this unit lasts. That's the only question mark left for me. Here's hoping.
