Great markers for the price, but know how to use them by doing research before purchase.
There seems to be some misunderstanding about how to use these markers, and as a result, some discontent with them that I feel is unfair and misinformed. These are nothing like your alcohol based markers. Those lovely blendable copics are an entirely different thing, and these will not do if you are just looking for a cheaper alternative to Copics. these are water based markers. This means they will ruin weak paper. You will need paper that is built to withstand a bit more, and you will also need to know how to use these markers. For best results, you will need a palette that you can blend colors on. You blend by adding one color to the palette(you cannot blend by using the blender pen directly on color you've already applied to paper), then the other, and mixing those colors together on the palette itself. From there, you can use the blender pen to load your newly blended color onto and then paint it onto the paper. When you are done with the color, wipe the colorless blender on scratch paper--care for the tip of the brush. Using light applications of color as I've described, I use these markers to add color to my sketches on 65 lb sketchbook paper. It may show on the other side, but the way I use it, it hasn't bled through. It's essentially watercolor in a marker. You must remember that. You must be careful not to purchase duplicates--as many packs do contain duplicates. I purchased the primary and secondary packs with no duplicates, and with just those two and a palette, it's quite hard to find a color you can't make or don't already have. I read some advice about these markers that stated that the felt tip of them would hold to a lot of abuse, but don't listen to this advice. Do not abuse your marker tip.
As I've said, these are fine markers for a good price, but do know how to use them before making the purchase. I've enclosed a partly colored sketch, nothing amazing, but just to give an example of how these markers look.
