I think the toothpaste stinks, but my baby loves it! It certainly doesn't smell like chicken, maybe a dead one, but hey dogs love what they love! I have no problem brushing his teeth, but I do have a problem getting to the back teeth because his mouth is narrow plus he's so busy trying to taste the toothpaste. I am using an extra-soft child toothbrush and it is small, but it's just a tight fit trying to get to his back molars. I only brush the outside of his teeth because I read that the enzymatic action will take care of the inside part of the teeth. I'm proud to say his teeth are very clean and white looking. My hugga-bugga is a year and 8 months and I wanted to make sure that when it comes to his teeth, that he would have the best care. Even now, if you mention that you brush your dog's teeth, you will get laughed at. But if they can't eat or have an infection due to bad teeth, just like with humans, it will have an enormous affect on their health. This is a large tube and I smear a tiny amount for each side and front teeth. This tube will last a while.
