Airs up whatever, whenever - OVER & OVER & OVER..........
I really hate it when people reduce ratings and post detracting reviews because something looks like its "Weak, flimsy, small, loud, big, or Might; bend, break, took to long to arrive, etc". If you don't know something for sure then don't comment, and don't rate,. These are a good 12V compressor. I've carried one of these in each of our vehicles for over 7 years, used them to air up my rear tire often. Most gas station air pump nozzles don't fit on the rear tire valve stem of a Kawasaki Concours. I'd like to address small compressor issues that others have commented on. Noise. If you have never had experience with 12 volt compressors they're all noisy. The smaller the louder. If you want quiet then you need to add extra bulk for soundproofing + mufflers for air intake and output. The whole idea is to make a small, light weight unit that packs easy and doesn't take up "space", which is a premium in most vehicles. I used to carry s larger Campbel-Hausfeld unit in my SUV. They aren't that big but compared to these, you can pack 5 or 6 of these into the same space. Run time & heat are a compromise to size and weight. A small diameter compressor piston only displaces .5-.75 cu.in.. At that rate it takes a long time to compress the volume of air in a tire. Heat, if you have ever been around any air compressor - regardless of size - they get hot, very hot. Larger compressors have bigger cooling fans, some even have radiators to remove excess heat. The process of compressing air creates heat. Yes, it gets hot but not hot enough to burn anything but your bare hand and you should have on gloves when riding or working on a tire anyway. As far as putting the hot compressor back into your saddlebag. Well, it comes with a protective case that will keep the hot compressor from damaging delicate items. Now,about this particular compressor. It is a good tool for a lot of vehicles. Small enough to fit in most glove boxes/saddlebags/top case or under-seat storage area. The zipper case, without the extra battery clips and power plug, is large enough to hold a small tire plug kit as well. This gives you everything to make a good repair on the spot if you get a puncture. Larger slashes or cuts are a different matter and require more tools and a tire patch kit. Another plus is this brand is inexpensive, really inexpensive. At under $30 you can afford to have one in every vehicle. Check out one of the other "MOTORCYCLE" compressors and you will pay over $100 for a equally small, noisy, hot running air compressor - only in a cloth bag with a drawstring instead of a substantial square hard zipper case. Alternative uses; I've used this same compressor for large SUV tires several times. Run it for 8 minutes, shut it off for several minutes and turn it back on to finish filling the tire. If you don't want to take that long to fill you tire then you need to lug around a larger size compressor. This company, or others, sell over many different sizes of 12 volt compressors. They will fill a large passenger tire in as little as 1 minute or as long as 14 minutes. The one minute compressor won't fit in most saddlebags. However a 4 minute unit will but it will take up 2-3 times as much space. This will also fill air mattresses and other inflatables. The bottom line: this is a good, small, economical 12 volt compressor that will air up your tires, air suspension, air mattress, beach-ball, etc. It will last under normal occasional use (3-4 times a month) for years. (mine has been doing that for 7 years). As a disclaimer, I don't work for or own stock in Slime. I just hate to see a product get "SLIMED" by people who don't have enough information to write a good review.
