I got mine for black Friday/nov 2014. reading some of the other reviews, I wondered if they got older models or if I'm just nuts, so here's the real deal. it is a very decent unit, easy to use and decent looking. here's the only "truth" I've found reading the Other reviews. it takes about 5 seconds or slightly more to come on, that's it! the keyboard doesn't need a separate power cord, mine goes through the tablet itself, there is a slot in the bottom of the tablet and prongs from the keyboard that mate and it charges that way, hard to explain but really for brain dead people like myself! the screen is bright. settings are easy to change etc. it is not top of the line but not even close to bottom! I do own other tablets, laptops and desk tops that are windows 8.1,xp and 7. they take about two minutes to fire up (except for the older tablet) so the 5 seconds is quick, it did an automatic search for my wireless internet and was ready to go in seconds. I do recommend this tablet for anyone who's not looking to do high tech gaming or professional use, for the average guy who checks email/searches amazon or even watched you tube, you can't beat the unit. I do recommend checking prices everywhere on line, mine was under 100 and brand new. I just wish people would tell the truth or review what they wrote prior to posting and try to also remember anything can have a lemon, mine is a jewel!!!
