At first I didn’t see why I should pay more for a cast iron press when I could just get a press at 1/2 the price that could make decent tortillas. But this press has a secret super power. You can press and cook tortillas on this thing at the same time. Just heat your press up on the stove top with the lid closed to heat both sides, put your dough ball on and press. It will make a squeaky sound like a balloon and then you will have a nice perfectly pressed and perfectly cooked tortilla.
