Please note: this is a real review. This is my actual experience with this air purifier. I have two of them. So because of the fires in California, we ordered these Bissell units. They took a long time get here because they were all out of stock, probably due to the fires. We finally got them last week and started using them. These are supposed to be really good at filtering out volatile organic compounds. I never thought VOCs would be something I’d track for my health but here we are. There’s this automatic setting that detects how much it is filtering, and automatically ramps up if it detects more particles. It changes the indicator light from Green to Yellow if it detects more pollutants in the air. We had it running in the bathroom, because we were cleaning and I wanted it to filter out some of the chemical smell from the cleaners (btw, Lysol hydrogen peroxide cleaner smells like vomit). Tonight I was brushing my teeth, and I was standing next to the air purifier, which was running green (clean) for several hours until now. I farted next to it. In about a minute, the air purifier detected my fart in air. It kicked up and the light went to yellow. It took about two minutes before it cleared the air and went back to green. We have now repeated this experiment four times. On both air purifier units. It really does this. I've farted like up to six feet away from it, from outside the room, and it detects it and cleans the air. My wife is ecstatic and arguably loves me more. Bissell might be preemptively saving my marriage. So yes, I recommend this little unit. Also, the sleep mode kicks in reliably and it’s quiet enough to place in the baby’s room.
