Compared to Logitech Z313
I really enjoyed this Cyber Acoustics speaker system at first. The main problem that I had with it is that the speakers are top heavy and very easy to knock over. The left speaker finally became too problematic with loud and erratic static at any setting. It may be my fault since I had frequently inadvertently knocked the speakers over when dusting or just moving things around the desk. However, the fragile speakers would be much more stable with a larger base.
The static was the last straw but I had been putting up with the system turning itself on, even to the blue light on the control pad, when the switch was in the off position and the pc was either sleeping or hibernating. The system would emit a low humming sound and the blue light would blink. The reason I chose this system was because of the control pod. I really loved the convenience of the control pod but having the system periodically turn itself on when the switch was set to off made me worry that there could be a short in this system’s wiring.
I'm not an audiophile but I think the sound quality of this system is very good. I liked this system so well while it was working that I even briefly considered replacing it with the same model and trying to construct a new base for the speakers. However, once I saw that the Logitech Z313 system also has a control pod and much better balanced speakers, I decided to purchase that system instead. I can not differentiate between the sounds from either system. The Cyber Acoustics control pod has a bass control on it while the Logitech has only the volume control. I prefer the Logitech system strictly because of the compact and nicely weighted speakers.
