There is clearly a manufacturing defect in that some rods will not fit into the hole. It is easily solved though. All you need to do is take some sand paper and sand off the edges of the rods. This is something the manufacturer should be doing as part of their finishing process but clearly they aren't. Outside of that it's a great toy and my two sons really love it.
