This is probably my fourth Swivel Sweeper and if this one breaks I'll probably buy another one! We have a cat who tracks litter around the house and this thing gets it all up with hardly any effort. I love this new Swivel Sweeper because it addresses some of the problems with the old sweeper: 1. The handle is metal rather than plastic which means it shouldn't break. They also did away with the switch to make the old sweeper handle bend in the middle in order to get under furniture. I found I never used it and feel it was more of a gimmick that caused a weak point in the handle. You can sweep under the furniture easily without it. 2. It's also easier to clean the brushes as they can be removed and replaced without having to take the sweeper apart. 3. They say it has 33% more power and it seems to me that it does. For people that are new to the Swivel Sweeper be aware that it's not a replacement for a vacuum although it will get surface dirt off your carpet. Also be careful not to leave your battery in the charger for more than 8 hours or you will reduce its life. Be prepared to buy another battery in a year or so if you use it a lot. They don't last forever but are available online for much less than the cost of buying another sweeper. Another thing that influenced me to buy this new model is that the batteries from my old G2 work with this sweeper. So I say if you're looking to upgrade - or you're trying to decide which model to buy - you can't go wrong with this one. I'm glad I chose it!
