I wanted to write a review for this product since there are only three. I received this product a few days ago in hopes it would be something my cats would love. When first taking it out of the box you get a whiff of a smell that sort of reminds me of the wood section in menards. It's not too pleasant but it's not unbearable either, and that smell went away after a couple days. In the box you receive all of the pieces to put this product together, including the nails. When I opened it there was a nail missing but there was an extra of another nail so that wasn't a big deal. Also, it comes with very nicely pictured out directions on how to put the product together, which made it easy and fast. Putting this together, the pieces seemed thin but I didn't expect anything less, they're perfectly fine and don't need to be all fluffy and thick. When screwing everything in it seemed a bit wobbly and unstable at first, which scared me, but after everything was put together it stands straight and is very stable. The only thing that I would say might bother me is the stairs have a bendable piece of metal on them so even after they were hooked to the boards, they flop around very easily. But my cats like them so I like them. overall I wasn't expecting much from this product but I was pleasantly surprised. For the price, this cat tree is amazing. My cats seem to think so too as they haven't gotten off of it since I put it up; and if my cats are happy, I'm happy. Great product.
