Most fat separators require you to carefully pour the contents of the separated liquid from a a long spout, watching carefully to see when the separation line hits the spout. This unit allows one to drain from the bottom and provides a clearer view of the contents. Most significantly, long spouts are difficult to clean, where this one is easily cleaned. It appears to be a match for others sold under a variety of names but with matching pictures. At the price point with the added "bonus," it's a better buy.
