Pretty well perfect
I previously had a (somewhat cheaper) AT&T cordless phone with an additional cordless handset, and I used the free nomorobo app to deal with robot calls, of which I get up to 10 a day. I could always have at least one handset fully charged and near me, very handy because, crazily, there is no phone jack in my living room or bedroom. I thought that if ever there was a power outage I could use my cell phone; however I recently experienced an extended power outage and my cell phone's battery ran out. First let me say how grateful I am to the creator of nomorobo. It diverted the great majority of unwanted calls. My new phone has a call blocker which automatically diverts robot calls and gives you the choice of adding additional numbers you want blocked. Get one call you don't want and you can block it for the future, either during the call or after. Numbers saved in your directory, or not on the block list, ring through. You can also create a list of names of organizations that make robot calls that you want to receive, e.g. your medical office, school, etc. For other calls - those with no number, "Private", "Out of Area" - you have several options as to how you want these handled. There are other features, too. Both the corded handset and the cordless have nice clear audio, large buttons and screens, and it was very easy to set up. My only slight quibble, as with my previous phone compared to the one before that, is that with the large read-out, while nice and visible, you don't have as much room to enter your directory information. I like to have first and last name and whether it's a cell phone and quite often there just isn't room for all that.
