So far, the D40u-D1 has been excellent as a computer monitor. Text is distinct, response via the 4k@60Hz input works well, and it boots up fast. Setup was a snap, and the remote is highly intuitive. I actually returned a M50-c1 after finding it to be just too big to use as a monitor, though it too looked great. There are only two minor quibbles I've found with the D40u-D1: - Unless you use the single 4k@60Hz input, you get severe input lag from your PC. I'm using two PCs (work & play) via this monitor, so this was a deal-breaker for me. I ended up getting a 4k switcher to address the issue (Cable Matters 3-Port HDMI Switch Supporting 4K Resolution with Twin-Pack 6 Feet High Speed HDMI Cable). This has solved the issue, though it shouldn't have been necessary, in my opinion. - There is some red-light bleed when viewing white lettering inside a solid red box, like at rtings.com. This bleed is only visible up close at the highest resolution, however. But hey, this is the best UHDTV I found as a PC Monitor.
