Works great, but don't forget to dip (Plasti-Dip)
This camera does its job, and, for the price, I had nothing to lose. The wire was just 5 feet short of what I needed for an extended Ford Sprinter van; however it may have reached if I mounted it near the 3rd brake light and pointed down; however I didn't want to cut a hole in a company vehicle. Some small gauge stranded wire was easily used to splice the supplied line (perhaps 25') and extend it to fit my need. My only complaint is the lack of waterproofing of the camera, which accounts for 4 stars; however I read the other reviews and coated it with Plasti-Dip prior tk install (Plasti-Dip comes in many colors and can be picked up from Home Depot). I simply used painters tape and an xacto knife to cover the IR lights and lens. (My photo shows a sloppy free-hand extra coating for the seam around the lens; could've been prettier but no affect on camera view.). If you use Plasti-Dip, then I suggest you use an xacto blade to trace your tape lines before peeling; sometimes the Plasti-Dip will peel with the tape. I considered straight up dipping the entire camera rather than spraying (Plasti-Dip comea in a 'canned' form made for dipping tool handles); wouldve made a nice coat. Anyway, the camera works great. I wish I could turn off the tire track feature in the display, since my license plate is not centered on the vehicle; I placed some small strips of electrical tape over the screen to illustrate my own wheel tracks for my own reference. The mounting tape supplied with the display was worthless and failed instantly while installing; however I used screws and slammed that sucker onto the ceiling console and it's going nowhere. Point of the story is this is a $30 camera, needs some tweaking, but works as advertised. I like it.
