I ordered this in black, I wear a Lg/XLg depending on the brand. I am 5'9 at 189. I wear a size 14 pant, 40D bra. I read the reviews and knew this dress ran small. I ordered the largest size available; 14/16. It arrived and as reviewed, has a chemical smell. I'm sure this will wash out. The dress is thicker than tee-shirt material, and made of cotton. The silhouette is straight, and the attached belt can synch in at the waist to give you the hour glass shape. I have a long torso, big bust and the 'waist' section is a little higher than I'd like. With further weight loss, it will fall to the normal/right area on my body, I'm assuming. This dress is more like a size 12/14 or a med/large as it has some give and stretch. It is sung from thigh to lower abdomen, than loose throughout the upper stomach and ribs, then tight again over the chest, sides, underarms, upperback and upper arms. If you have back fat/rolls/big arms/ or a lower abdomen pouch, this dress may not be what you're looking for. I am speaking openly here to the bigger girls, as I myself am one, and was 260lbs at one point. I know the struggles of online shopping when you arent a size 2. With the right 'suck & tuck' undergarments, that smooth out the midsection, back, butt, and FUPA areas, this dress is fine. With just underwear and bra [on larger women] this dress may not be as flattering as you'd like. With all that I just said.. this dress is excellent quality for its price, the fabric is mid to moderate quality, the length is nice [right below the knee], the neck opening is wide and shows the upper shoulder, but not fully to the edge of the shoulder, for some added sexiness, so a strapless, or a racer back strappy bralette looks the best. It can be dressed up or down. It's very versatile and I will definately buy another, once I'm down a few more sizes. Glad I got the black as Im wearing it in 2 weeks and the other colors would reveal much more that I'd allow. Lol, hope this helped my fellow women out there and I would recommend this dress for its style, quality, look, shape, color, and price.
