So when I first received this I wasn't too excited, I own a straightener so I thought this would be pretty pointless. BUT I must say this is such a better experience, if you're someone that enjoys brushing your hair then I highly recommend this. I would much rather sit and brush my hair than to clamp it between two hot plates. This seems far less damaging. A little piece of advice, section your hair, I have pretty wavy hair and when you put too big of a chunk in there it has a hard time straightening the whole thing. I'm only giving this 4 stars because I'm super ocd about making sure each strand of hair is perfectly straight so it took me about 35min to do my whole head which is the same amount of time it takes me with a flat iron.
